Chicago Executive Airport - Airport Administrative Internship Position

The position is a temporary internship at Chicago Executive Airport in Wheeling/Prospect Heights, Illinois. The position will begin on May 1 and expire September 1 with scheduling up to 40 hours per week as needed with a normal work schedule of 8:00am - 4:30pm. A successful incumbent may be extended to a part-time internship position beginning September 1, 2019 extending to December 31, 2019. The Airport Internship position is meant to expose the individual to Airport Administration within general aviation reliever airport for O’Hare.

The budgeted pay rate is +/- $14 per hour DOQ. No other benefits will be offered. CEA will participate in reasonable administrative requirements for academic credit. The Airport Operations Specialist Internship Program is designed to introduce future airport managers to the many facets of managing and operating a Commercial Service Airport. Flight Operations Internship - Emerson Electric

This is a full-time paid internship that will last 8 weeks during the summer of 2019.

The internship will begin with a tour and overview of Emerson’s Corporate Headquarters. The intern will then report to the Emerson Hangar at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport for an orientation and overview of the flight department where the candidate will be introduced to and trained on the various software, programs, and documents that are utilized in day to day operations. This includes aircraft & crew scheduling, flight planning, Safety Management System, and standards.

Summer Flight Operations Internship Opportunity

These are the qualifications for this unique position.

Basic Qualifications:

•Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited course of study with an anticipated graduation date on or after August 2018.

•Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during the summer

•These positions must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

•Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Pursuing a degree in aviation, aviation management, safety management, or a similar field of study

•Commercial pilots license (or in the process of obtaining)

•Passion for the aerospace industry

•Academic excellence, technical project experience, internships, leadership experience, and community involvement
